Since Dr. Gaddis became the head administrator of the music program, the program has grown from 27 undergraduate music majors to 160 music majors in undergraduate and graduate programs.  Also the program achieved national accreditation with the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The program has added a marching band, various wind and percussion ensembles, choral ensembles, opera workshop and an orchestra and strings program.  Dr. Gaddis is a visitor/evaluator in the accrediting process for National Association of Schools of Music.

Because of its significant growth in numbers and excellence in performance, the University Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Gaddis, was invited to perform at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Professional In-Service Conference in February of 2004.  In February, 2007 and February, 2014, the String Chamber Ensemble performed at the Kentucky Music Educators Association conference in Louisville.  As Dean of Music, Dr. Gaddis has taken the University Jazz Band on three concert tours of Brazil and has managed and co-organized four concert tours of Europe for the University Chorale.  Campbellsville University also has developed a strong graduate music program, offering seven master’s degrees on the Campbellsville campus and offered a Master of Arts in Music degree on the campus of the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Recife, Brazil.

Through the efforts of Dr. Gaddis, educational partnerships have been established with Mokwon University, Taijeon, Korea, Tainan University of Technology, Tainan, Taiwan, Federal University of Bahia, Salvador, Brazil, Federal University of Campina Grande, Campina Grande, Brazil, Federal University of Parana, Curitiba, Brazil, Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai, China.   Educational partnerships have been established with several Baptist institutions in South America.
